Safety at REH

Elderlee, Inc. is dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment at every level of our organization.  Our goal is to continuously improve our methods to keep our workers safe.  We are proud of our open door policy, and encourage employees to bring recommendations to our attention.  We proudly work with our employees, an outside consultant, the New York State Department of Labor, and OSHA to continually improve our safety program.

Elderlee has implemented numerous safety initiatives to make our construction workers more safe and visible while working in high traffic situations.  Frequent internal and external loss control inspections are also conducted to reinforce the importance of a safe work environment.  The collective efforts to improve safety have elevated the company to a higher level that emphasizes a culture of safety.

We provide on-going training for much of our workforce, including:

Safety Training List

In 2009, Elderlee, Inc. was honored by receiving the first place award in the AGC of America’s 10th annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) program for companies performing under 100,000 hours of work.  Elderlee was furthered honored by receiving the AGC’s Grand Prize Award for Construction Safety Excellence.  Only 44 member companies from across the country met the standards of safety needed to qualify.  It is a tremendous tribute to have been selected as the best of such a prestigious group of companies.

Elderlee, Inc. has since been honored by the Maryland Quality Initiative (MdQI) with an Award for Excellence in the category of Traffic and Safety.  This was awarded in recognition of a sign installation project located at I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Thruway), including all interchange ramps and approach roadways in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County for the Maryland Transportation Authority.

These honors reflect the commitment to safety that our employees have worked so hard to develop, and we are extremely proud of their continuous devotion to improvement.
